Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Licensed as a Therapist, Counselor, or Social Worker in the state of Michigan
- Experience in providing therapy to individuals, families, and groups
- Strong understanding of mental health disorders, treatments, and interventions
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and documentation
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
Forward Therapy & Consulting Independent Contractor Job Description
Clinician positions will be independent contractors. This means Clinicians:
- Determine how many hours they want to work and how many clients they wish to see.
- Determine the type of work they are interested in and build any specialty programs/professional relationships.
- Determine the modality through which they want to see clients (e.g. telehealth, walk and talk, in person), unless this is specified in contracts that clinicians determine they want to work on.
- Forward Therapy & Consulting will:
- Receive referrals and offer them to clinicians. Clinicians always maintain the right to determine which cases they want to take or do not want to take
- Maintain a website and advertise clinic services in the community
- Help cultivate community partnerships that may help address mental health needs in the community
- Handle all billing for services
- Provide administrative assistance (e.g. scheduling clients, sending intake paperwork, etc)
- Pay clinicians on a regular schedule. Pay is typically given on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month.
- Offer opportunities to work on contracts as they present themselves and assist clinicians in pursuing or developing contracts matching their interests if requested
- Provide clinicians with: Professional email address, Platform for conducting HIPAA compliant telehealth, Electronic Medical Record; including all needed client forms, Access to psychological assessment measures
- Clinicians have the option of choosing to work from the Forward Therapy & Consulting offices in Midland.
